The team has been working with the Bridgetown/Greenbushes local government to develop interventions. These interventions have been co-created with community and have begun to be implemented. Trees have been planted for shade as well as a bench that has been co-located, water fountains and shade sails are being installed over December/January.
Cool space and volunteer training will take place on November 20th, with services ready to mobilize over the summer period to activate existing community centres as cooling spaces and for a volunteer heatwave call out service to notify community when extreme heat is on its way.
