The City of Rockingham has implemented the first of several interventions. The cooling subsidy scheme is now live, this intervention will give folks the opportunity to receive reimbursement for the purchase of cooling items.
Heatwave Ready Workshops are starting as of the 20th of November and welcome Rockingham residents to learn more about staying cool, building resources and being energy efficient.
Our purpose made cooling packs have been designed through community consultation and will be handed out at community events – they include water bottles, insulated tote bags, sunscreen, bucket hats, cooling towels and keep cool resources.
